The chair backs have a shaped and molded frame carved at the sides with freestanding foliage, the crest-rails are decorated with foliate scrolls at the corners and a mascaron (ornamental mask) surmounted by feathers at center. The molded armrests end in scrolls carved with foliate masks and rest on four-sided columnar supports. The seat rails have a lambrequin apron carved with foliate forms. The chair stands on four tapered paneled legs carved with pendant foliage. The legs are joined by a shaped and molded cruciform stretcher with a raised curling foliate spray at center.
